timekeeper

There is peace tonight, as the clock strikes infinity,
Time unjudged in silence and still.
The black hole of future lies dormant of eternity,
And the hourglass fails the refill
A blue moon hangs footle in the distance of desire,
As chances burn out uncared.
Stillness reminds of the star-crossed briar,
And no cherished kiss is spared
Visions of love collide regrettably,
Doubt avenges my heart with a sting,
A lament for misgivings smoulders inside of me,
And a tear for all that I am resisting.
A cold breeze breaks the trail of my notion
And reality cuts like a knife
Slowly grasping the speed of your motion,
The daylight brings me new life.
