In six weeks time, my little soldier becomes a big soldier. I have never been as proud as I am today after sending him off in his shirt and tie to the end of Junior School Ball; his hair gelled, wreaking of body spray, all tucked in neatly with his head held high. Tears poured from my eyes with a million emotions and memories of his first day at school. Time does fly and sometimes I want to grab him and hold him tight; stop the time and just be. But, he is growing into a fine young man. He is honest and helpful, handsome, funny and kind; everything a mother could ask for in a son. I thought it would be harder. I was expecting so many more ups and downs... And, suddenly we are here. My little Bugger-lugs is carrying my shopping from the car and making his own sandwiches. He no longer has to stand on a chair to turn on the light or sit on a cushion to see through the car window.
In six weeks time, my little boy will become a little man... And what a man he will be! :)
